Liturgy 6-27-10

Hey guys, here’s the order for this week.

Just some “housekeeping”… if we can make an effort to be on time for sound checks on Sunday mornings, that would be appreciated. The prayer time is important, and I don’t want us to have to cut into that because we got going late, so let’s try to start on time.

Liturgy 6-6-10….Get ready for some soul pow’r!!

New series, new style, new liturgy

This week begins a new sermons series that will be focusing on the Beatitudes. As a response, I thought it would be cool to go a little “earthy” with our worship style. This will mean either we strip the music side down to the bare essentials, or we make things a little more “folky”, or we make some cool harmonies that resemble an old time gospel group, or other interesting things. Honestly, if you guys have any ideas, I think we can fun with this.

Anyways, more on that soon. Here’s the stuff for this Sunday. There are TWO new songs that we need to have down by Sunday… they’re really easy, so it shouldn’t be difficult. Pentecost Sunday

Hey all, here’s the stuff.

One note about this Sunday: it’s Pentecost Sunday, which is also known by the name of WhitSunday (White Sunday). Traditionally, the colors for this day are white, so if we can base our wardrobe around white that would be cool. No white suits or pants…. just make the base color white. (White belts are acceptable.)
