Hey guys, here’s the new stuff for tomorrow. Pretty basic stuff… I’d like to do the arrangement of “And Can It Be” that’s featured in the video below.

Just a reminder for everyone: we will be meeting after the service for a (speedy) rehearsal. This will be for the service on September 5th, as I will not be leading the team that week. We will ALSO be having a practice this upcoming Tuesday at 7pm for Sunday, August 29th as I will be out of town. I know it’s a little confusing, but I think it will all work out.

One last thing: don’t forget to pray. I know this sounds simple, but as the team who is leading God’s people into the presence of God, we need to make sure that we do not bring “baggage” with us that needs to be confessed to God, we need to make sure that we are able to enter into true, spirit-led worship, AND that we can be His tools to inspire the congregation to respond to the majesty of the Most High God. I think often we can take this aspect for granted and we can get too focused on other things–even the very music that we play/rehearse. So come ready and prayed up

Here you guys go.

In regards to the new song we did last week, I think it would be best to shelve it for now. Sometimes within bands, a song can be written/introduced that just doesn’t work as well as it was anticipated. Perhaps we can make it work at a later time, but I think that (for now) it’s just one of those times to quit while ahead.

That said, I’d like us to instead work on a different song as an introduction for Communion but also to add to our list of songs. It’s a brand new one by John Mark McMillan (the same guy who originally wrote “How He Loves Us”). Check out the video below to see how it goes.

Hey guys, sorry I meant to have this done by Thursday. Here’s the liturgy for this week. The first song called “Softly Now the Light of Day” is a hymn, but hopefully you don’t know it cause we’re not using its arrangement at all. I’m going to try to record a webcam version of it so that you have an idea of what it sounds like before tomorrow, but either way it’s a very easy arrangement.

Hey guys.

Here’s the new liturgy for this week. Don’t forget that practice will begin PROMPTLY at 8:30am on Sunday. PLEASE make the commitment to be there on time. We will soon be extending the prayer time in the mornings an extra 15 minutes (so it would be starting at 9:30 instead of 9:45), so let’s get used to being on time, starting on time, and ending on time.

Hey guys, here’s the order for this week.

Just some “housekeeping”… if we can make an effort to be on time for sound checks on Sunday mornings, that would be appreciated. The prayer time is important, and I don’t want us to have to cut into that because we got going late, so let’s try to start on time.
